What is Worship at Sunrise

Worship at Sunrise is a quiet place.

It began with simple mornings—time set aside before the day began, without distraction. A space to sit, reflect, and listen.

Over time, those moments became something more.

Not a program.
Not a plan.
Just a rhythm.

A reminder that not everything needs to be rushed…
and not every question needs an answer right away.

This space is for anyone learning to slow down,
to sit a little longer,
and to draw closer to God in the quiet.

Colocho: A Sheep on the Beach

At sunrise on a quiet beach, a wandering sheep hears the Shepherd’s call.
Colocho: A Sheep on the Beach is a lyrical fable of faith and transformation, where a sheep’s seaside journey and a young man’s search for meaning gently converge at the water’s edge in a moment of awakening.

Every step of the journey follows the rhythm of sunrise—surrender, stillness, reflection, and joy in God’s presence. Colocho listens to the whispers of crabs, herons, and gulls, while a young man on the shore wrestles with memory and renewal. Their paths, shaped by tide and time, lean quietly toward the same horizon of grace.

Written with coastal hush and poetic rhythm, Colocho: A Sheep on the Beach invites readers into a fresh encounter with faith. Part fable, part devotional, it is a story for anyone longing to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover the Shepherd’s call.

Perfect for:

  • Readers who enjoy allegories like The Alchemist or The Shack
  • Small groups, sunrise devotionals, and personal reflection
  • Anyone seeking a gentle but transformative story of faith

Colocho: A Sheep in the Winds

A Fable of the Unexplained, Yet Trusted

After the storm has passed, the wind remains.

Jude has lost everything—his home, his work, and the life he once built.
With only a tent, a bicycle, and a quiet resolve to keep going, he begins again… not with answers, but with small acts of faith—baking bread, carving crosses, and serving others in silence.

Colocho, a once-wandering sheep, now walks a different path.
Wounded, weary, and changed by the storm, he encounters a world that no longer feels familiar—where suffering lingers and questions go unanswered.

Together, their journeys unfold in quiet parallel—one human, one animal—each learning to trust the Shepherd in the absence of clarity.

Told through a contemplative coastal lens, Colocho: A Sheep in the Winds explores the tension between faith and suffering, offering a modern reflection on the enduring questions found in the Book of Job.

This is not a story about easy answers.
It is a story about staying.

For those who have asked why…
and chosen to keep walking anyway.

About the Author

Curtis Koch didn’t set out to write a book.

What began as quiet mornings at sunrise—coffee in hand, sitting along the coast—slowly became something more. Time set aside without distraction. Time to reflect. Time to listen.

Those mornings became the foundation for Colocho: A Sheep on the Beach.

Curtis spent much of his life working in the restaurant industry, moving fast, solving problems, and carrying more than he realized. The shift didn’t come all at once… just small moments of stillness that began to change the way he saw things.

Worship at Sunrise grew out of that season—not as a brand, but as a reminder.

A reminder to slow down.
To sit a little longer.
To notice what’s already there.

His writing reflects that same pace—simple, quiet, and honest—offering stories for those learning to walk with God, even when the path isn’t clear.

Curtis lives in Texas and still finds his way back to the coast whenever he can.
